After Fukuoka, the same team, including the Organizing Secretary, travelled on to Nagasaki.

A taste of home

The team was first treated to a delicious plate of waakye, prepared by Princess Martey and Ayishetu Mwinima Sumabe. For Ghanaians far from home, few things feel as welcoming as a good plate of waakye.

Meeting the Ghanaian community in Nagasaki

After the wonderful meal, the team headed out to meet Ghanaians living in Nagasaki, who gave them a warm reception. The meeting, led by GSU-Japan's Vice President, Thomas Kwasi Awuni, opened up a wide-ranging discussion on how to improve GSU, how members are doing in Japan, and life in general.

Conversations like these help the executive understand what members need, and they shape how GSU-Japan supports Ghanaian students across Japan. Thank you to everyone in Nagasaki for your hospitality.
